Even though over the years the IB Programme in Topolowka has changed and grown, its aims and ideas remain the same. It has become a place for students to learn, develop and gain an appreciation for other cultures. On April 5, 2013 we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of our first exam session. The event, including a general presentation on the history, background and main principles of the Programme, was favoured by the presence of local authorities and education officials. We also welcomed the graduates, who had an possibility to see their old teachers and purchase some IB gadgets in token of remembrance. Many of these former students are now settled at top schools and universities all over the world or even starting a successful career. Establishing of the International Baccalaureate World School 1309 back in 2001 was a difficult and complex task yet the excellent results in most subjects proved it to be worth the effort. Each year, the students of Topolowka place themselves above the world average and are accepted in the colleges of their choice. With the 10th anniversary marking yet another achievement in the school history, we can only hope for the years to come to be equally productive and successful.
